Start it up and get black soot all over you rig or put those amazing looking buckets or coffee cans on top of them.

Thumbs up

Nate-03 D: No pics from inside the bed or underneath but I can take a few pics tomorrow & post them for ya so you can see how I did it.

53 ******: No muffler or kitty..... 4" from the turbo back, up through the bed & then to a 5" elbow that is connected to the stack.

illdiesel: I used to have one gallon milk jugs that I would place over them but the wife said that was absolutely ..... So now I just leave it un-covered.

ptgarcia: The noise in the cab really isn't that bad. If your in the pedal hard...then yes it is a little loud (for some) but once you get to cruising speed....it's just a nice low purrrrr.....

jgarrett: Yes my truck just turned over on 40,000 miles

Yea if you could snag some more photos Hump that would be great, if not no biggie though.

Don't they sell those "clapper" lids that cover the end when there is no exaust pressure pushing against them? They look sortive tacky though, atleast I think they would on trucks like ours.

*Edit*. Won't water/snow getting into the exaust over and over cause it to rust eventually? I know the water won't get to far down into the exaust but still. Mabe someone with stacks can chime in on this more.

Sure thing....I take a few more shots in the morning & get them posted.

Yeah they sell the rain caps for the flat top & miter cut stacks but I really don't care for the look of them on a pickup....

Saw a truck the other day that, no lie, had at least 5 (maybe even 6)foot miter stacks on each side of the bed. I thought he was trying to look for the Big Rig look. It wasn't working for me. Looked fairly hokey.

Flappers don't look sort of tacky, they look pretty awesome....like the old diesel tractors back in the day, most of the ones I remember seeing had flappers.

Mabe my taste for the flappers is bitter because I see a bunch of kids running around w/ gasser F-150's and stacks sticking 2 feet over their cab, and yea they got the flapper on them.

The worst i've seen a around here is a guy w/ a beat down 80' something 2 door Chevy gasser. He has one miter stack and a turnout, he flew past me on the freeway the other day and I nearly ran into the guardrail because I was laughing so hard. If I can ever get a pic of it I will make sure to post it on here.

But I think that what you pointed out is just that, stacks are different. If you think about it you only have a few options for exaust locations. regular placement(behind the wheel), stack(s), or a under the bed option. Everyone and their mother and brother has it behind the wheels, so running stacks is something different. Although not every truck can pull of the stack look. It's all preference though, we need an exaust some way or another.

I am another vote for the Miter cut! Personally, I think it would look even better with 2 of them.......and cut slightly lower where they just BARELY peak over the cab or almost even with the cab.
