a buddy of mine did the Herculiner, his recommendation DONT DO IT, he it started peeling with hardly any abuse, I say just get line-X or rhino liner or one of the spray on by pro's, no do it your self

I used herculiner in one of my utility trucks (GMC) to try it out, I have never had a problem in 4 months. I and my guy's have thrown shutters, ladders, tools, pipe vises you name it and I never had the stuff peel or get damaged. Its all about the prep work you put into the truck before you start appling the liner. The only modification I did that was not on the recommended installation was adding DP-40 Primer to the entire bed because it was starting to rust, I coated right over the top and have seen no rust or imperfections in the liner. And I will tell you it get abused, people just don't care if they are not making the payments!

nriver thanks! I have a slew of others but there would not be enough room for the snowmachines and all the other garbage.

They say: "THOSE WHO DIE WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS! Can't take it with you so you may as while enjoy what little time we have here. Every one of those toy's are driven, and hard, who wants to store it and look at it besides a **** retentive collector. The cuda is close to a 100 point car and these collectors cringe when I beat the s*it out of them at shows. They were built to drive and thats what I do drive em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully my sons will do the same when there times come!

I did the Herculiner to my Ford, and I prepped the crap out of it before I put it on, and I wasnt happy with the outcome. If I were you, and what I am going to do on my Dodge, is go with a Line X

I don't think he is talking about the bed... he is talking about the rocker guards or other "outside" body panels. His sig already lists "spray-in bedliner". That being said, I did a DIY Durabak spray-on liner in the bed of my truck and after a year of mild abuse it is holding up fine. Only thing is that the surface has lost a little "shine". I used smooth, UV-resistent Durabak and sprayed it on with a "Shutz" gun, which gave it a slight texture. It has held up good enough that I am really considering spraying the rocker panels with dark grey. My 315s throw stones something fierce, and I messed up the rear of the bed in a trailer "incident" that I think the Durabak would cover up nicely. The stuff is about $125 shipped per gallon for the smooth UV stuff. Cheaper for the normal black non-UV.

BTW sniper, why are you even asking about DIY stuff? Looking at your two other rides (Viper?!) you ain't hurting for money! The pro stuff WILL be nicer.
