Anyone have any info on this. Just saw it last night. Might be perfect for those of us who dont want the cost of a new modded cp3. Here is the link. Joel

Wish they gave us more info on what projected hp or economy gains this mod would give us. Just from they're info sounded more like not running out of fuel on the top end. Rich2500 keep us informed on what you find out.

Wow, 86 for the lowest would be well worth the time if it really is so.

This looks like a fun mod to me although I wont be doing it any time soon, it is still a really cool write-up

BTW-he never said if he cleans/deburs the inside of the metering rod???
there has to be burs on the inside of the rod right??
how would you clean those out and not scratch the M-rod?

Am I understanding the info correctly ...those steps are what makes a CP3 modded and worth $1100?

I cant imagine that it much over a stage one pump mod. I have no idea what goes into a modded cp3, but it does make sence. Even if it helps rail pressure a little, for free its worth it I think. That sure is a lot for a shop to charge to do such simple mods.

These two mods, plus a couple other small mods, would constitue a Stage 1 upgrade. I don't think you'll see much more than 15-20 HP, but it does help. I modded my FCA somewhat differently than the one in the article, but it's not in a way you can do it with a dremel. A Stage 2 pump is comprised of different internal changes to increase the pump's displacement per revolution.

Thanks banchee, are the other small mods something that can be done at home or is there way more to it than this simple mod?
