****UPDATE****
I walked by my truck this week and noticed the the drivers corner reflector was falling off (inside the headlight)......I thought maybe I had bumped it when I had it apart and caused it to come lose..but as the next few HOT days went on it started to BEND/MELT!!!!!!!
I dont know it is cause of the black paint causing to much heat?? or if I really did bump the reflector and then it melted???
I still love this mod but I dont know if this will happen to other reflectors and would like you all to be aware of what happened to mine...
really weird!!!!!!
maybe the paint or promoter softened the plastic some how???

Mine's all done and reinstalled, i'll get some pics ASAP. About the reflectors, mine came off whn i had the light apart. I almost decided to glue them back in, but the snapped right back onto the painted piece, so i didnt think twice about it. I'll see how long they last in place....

Man, that looks sweet Mark! Great job buddy.
I'm realy thinking about doing this to mine. Hey Iker, do you think you can do a PS of my truck but do the headlights White? I don't know how they would look White, I already have the flat Black grill.

finally grabbed some pics of the head light reflector that is warping.....
drivers side...I should have cleaned the lens a little better before I took the pics
passenger side is starting to a little also
I wounder if it is the paint/chemical reaction???or did painting it black just make it way too hot????

Great work!!! I've done this with the supra headlights (restore lenses and paint housings) and turn around and sell them. The newer style 97-98 headlights are factory black and most all of them that sit outside even for a little while bubble up in the same spot. We aren't sure if it was a material flaw but since the chrome ones don't do it, the general concensus is heat and time. Luckily, mine have only seen daylight a few times and they are fine. I'd like to know how the few I've painted are holding up. The black truck looks sick!!
