Just a quick queston b/c I cannot find an answer. What is the difference between the AFE Stage 1 and Stage 2 intake systems? And what is the difference between the stage 1 and stage 2 pre-filters? Thanks.

I already have a replacement intake tube ("torque tube" like piece) in my intake, and I didn't want to get an intake that gives me another "torque tube" when I already have one. Thanks.

I dont know about for the 3rd gens but for the 2nd the stage 2 comes with the "torque tube" and if you lay the power band curve sheets over the top of eachother there is not a whole heck of alot of difference. Certainly not ebough to warrent the extra expense.

The Stage I is the air box and filter, you can add the torque tube at ant time. The Stage II a different larger air box larger filter and the intake tube that is totally different than the torque tube. It starts out at 6 inch ID at the filter is mandrel designed and replaces all the intake tract tubing to the turbo. Much more air flow capability etc. Call us if you have any questions etc.
