I was reading an auction on e-bay where a guy selling a Diablo programmer (not the puck) says you can change tunes on the fly. Is that correct? It does not sound correct, but it would be cool.

The latest revision of their software does have that feature where you can have it plugged in and switch on the fly BUT.............
Lots of guys are having problems with that new tune and I would wait until they have it figured out before putting it in your truck.

 

I have a 2007 CUMMINS 3500 with the Predeator programmer and no you cant tune on the fly with this.They say it will fry your computer is what the shop told me. And the box clearly states never to start the truck with the programmer plugged in.

 

The U7131 ('06-'07) Diablosport Predator does support tune on the fly when using the R12 or R14 revisions of the software. However, that feature has been temporarily removed in the latest surge fix release as it's be identified as the source of the problem.

Go too diablosport.com and look at there forms lots of great info good and bad. To answer every ? you might have.

 

The guys on the forum say you can change on the fly, even with the programmer for older cummins. Just said, "I wouldn't floor it while loading the tune" whatever that means. Personally I dont do it.
