devils own water/meth

i just bought the devils own water/meth kit for my truck. i was wondering if there are any other add ons that go good with this upgrade, ie injectors, intercooler and intake. i dont want to put this kit on if there are any other upgrades i should get to get the full potential out of this kit. thanks

Best thing for the water meth is an intake horn and a grid delete. With the grid gone its a really noticabe difference. The stock grid collects the spray (meth mixture) and causes it to drip insted of spray. With the aftermarket horn and the grid delete you absolutley get the best out of the water meth. It will work good with the stock horn and grid but it will be 3x better with out those.

The water meth will cool you some and add power, but i would look into a turbo or a smarty. Smarty runs much cooler than the edge stuff because of the timing options and alot of other options you can't get with the edge stuff. I have a friend with an 06 who had the edge stuff and switched to a smarty and has no egt issues anymore, like he did with the edge stuff. I am not a firm believer in running the water meth all the time for a 100-200 degree drop when its spraying at full. Also dump the cat....... if you have not already done so. Good for 100 degree drop

The grid delete basically takes the heating "grids" out of the stock grid heater. They say it allows for a smoother less restrictive flow of air into the intake.

You can go here for more info.

The stock grid has heating fins inside that restricts the air flow. When you spray water meth in the intake horn and it travels to the grid, the mist (water meth) collects on the grid fins and then drips off, thus allowing a small portion of the mist to get through causing some cooling and some HP increase. With the grid gone (grid delete) the entire mist (water meth) gets through the grid and allows for maximum cooling and HP gain. Think of it this way, if you take a sprayer and spray it through a screen on a window, only some can get through to the other side, the rest of it collects on the screen and drips off, remove the screen and spray through the window and the entire mist escapes. Hope that helps.

You do not list your location but be careful with the grid delete if you have real winters then you may not be able to start on those really cold mornings.

As for the grid heater air flow restriction, it may have some but it is not going to knock all the mist out and make it just drip into the engine. The aftermarket intake horn is a good plan as many come with the injection point bosses already for you to connect the injection nozzles.

Like I said, it will catch some but not all, delete it and you will get the full benefit.

I hear you, its been in the low 40's here and its getting kinda hard to start on some morning but nothing to worry about right now. Maybe in the 20's I might have to worry. Like I said, with the stock grid and water meth you will see a positve hp and cooling affect, with the grid gone 3 fold the affect.
