CYC Nerfs, second bracket?
CYC Nerfs, second bracket?
I've got the nerf bars from the e-bay guy, CYC engineering I think. I finally got the truck into a big heated garage to do some work and had trouble with the brackets. The primary brackets bolted to the frame fine, but there are 4 secondary bracket straps that are supposed to connect the big brackets to the body. I played and played and played with those things and couldn't figure out how they connected!
The bars seem OK strong enough without them... but I'm still stumped. Can anyone tell me how these things fit?
thanx...

I know what you mean. The drawing is terrible but I just kept flipping the brackets around until it would lay flush with the hanger and oval slot in the body and the holes lined up.

OK, so I just keep flipping them...
One hint request: all 4 of those brackets are the same? The big passenger and drivers side brackets are identical too so the drivers side and passengers side installations are flipped?
The picture was no help (in fact two pictures in the instructions contradicted each other). Kind of like a little puzzle.

I finally crawled under the truck and finished the install.
THANKS for the pics. The extra bracket make the bars nice and solid.
I had to laugh when I realized why I didn't figure it out the first time. You need to peel off the black tape that covers the oval hole...
