compounds are in...

I was doing a budget build and wanted a bolt on kit. Since i am in the middle moving I didnt have a shop or all the cool stuff i really needed to get a custom set done, so i went with a bolt on kit. This kit is the Industrial Injection super phat shaft 62 under the Borg Warner S747.
First off, This was NOT a complete bolt on kit, this was the most PITA install i have ever done. I am also the FIRST person to put this kit into a 2wd truck (verified by Industrial Injection themselves) so there were some parts that was lacking clearance. Ok there were alot of parts that had clearance issues. And finally this was a solo install. Since i moved from Seattle, WA and currently in Memphis TN with the inlaws for a few weeks, i had no friends to help, but for the most part being solo wasnt too bad. And lastely doing this in 100*+ weather here in the south was horrible. But everything is in now and its all working. Not to type an entire instruction manual here, but here are some pictures.

Impressive. Nice to see a 2WD application. Where are the differences as to clearances (as mentioned)?

first one was the hot pipe, the upper A arm bracket (seen in the 2nd picture) would keep the hot pipe from bolting up. so i sent them pictures from every angle and they had to modify the hot pipe. The down pipe didnt fit, it kept hitting the firewall. So i had to sledge hammer it flatter and put a few bends in it for clearance. and the last clearance issue was the upper turbo bracket. i had to bend it to get it fit. (its not easy to bend 3/4" stock steel) the compressor housing was rubbing on the exhaust manifold.
It took an act of god and a whole lot of cussing to get the boost elbow on.

It did until I put that upper bracket on, thats used to put a gap between the compressor and the manifold. There is about a 1/4" gap between the two.

I thought I recognized that screen name. Left the northwest huh, I can't say I blame you although for the most part I love it here.

Did you mean S477? Cause I don't know if they make a 700 series frame, but if they do I'm thinkin' it would be at least a c-hair too big!

You shooting for some decent power or what?

Key West! I just looked that up.......jerk!

Vinny said its a S474 (74mm housing). My goal is for 600hp, but basically i am only doing 90hp sticks and im done with the truck, if i hit 600 or not, but i should be well in the 600hp range.

Im looking forward to Key West, i had fun in the NW but 4 years of winter was enough for me (My ship was up north of alaska during the Seattle summer months) so its time for a sun and fun.
