Just mine Jamie. I'm on my fourth - this last one has a snubber preceding it. I haven't had enough running time to formulate an opinion yet.

I didn't know you had any issues Festus. I know my Autometer one that's like the new Quadzilla stood up to 5 years of abuse and 570hp. I'm pretty sure the new Quad units will be just fine as they are pretty close to the Autometer ones!!! I do understand the frustration of multiple warranties but Quad never built them. The new ones will be good and you can put them anywhere instead of grounding them to the CP3 or VP44.

Mine has never given me trouble since it was installed and it has been on for over a year now.

Yep. Unfortunately, consistently over the past year and worse after my AD install. Doc actually pointed me to the snubber idea at Blackout.

I did run a snubber on my 01 autometer sending unit because the bouncing gauge drove me nuts but don't have anything on this Quadzilla sending unit and it's rock solid @ 17 Psi for quite some time now!

The Quadzilla one's that were failing are around $25.00 so is really paying $45.00 a big deal when you spend thousands on diesel performance goodies?? Not taking any sides but my original Quadzilla $25.00 fuel pressure sensor has worked since day 1 and that was quite some time ago. I'm sure some won't like this post but it's just my .02....

I would have to agree with you.

I've been a little bummed out myself with my failed fuel pressure sender, over 2 years now, paid extra to extend warranty, out of warranty now, my 4th sender, paid extra for a heavy duty sender, paid to ship 4 senders back, but the bottom line is, they were short money to begin with. I did a google on Fuel Pressure Transducer and you would have a hard time getting one anywhere for under $100. So for $45 I'll be getting one with the wires to install it, plus new updated software in my Commander. I think Quadzilla is doing all of us justice with this deal.

Do we have to send back our Commanders to run the new Fuel Pressure Transducers or just USB update them??

This is good but, it requires you send your Commander in here because we have to perform some minor hardware updates to make it work. The order form has some good info in it.

These transducers require you to supply them with power and ground as well so it does not matter where you install them. We have made the kit super nice and super simple to install once you get it back from us.

hmm doing us all justice how do you see that
in my case bought adrenaline paid extra for fuel pressure sender that didn`t work after they figured out it didn`t work they dropped the price.
did i get the extra I paid for the fp sender that did not work back NO
paid to ship some back $10 x2 bought a couple of others ones i was told might work $36 x2 spent hours on my cell phone waiting for tech on hold (since ya can only get a hold of someone during working hours) being told we are working on it call back on this date
now as i see it just with the 2 i bought and shipping 2 back i have paid more then the cost for people that did not pay for it to begin with by $2 not to mention again i payed for it to begin with
I bought a product that was released to the public with a warranty not a beta box
you may like to finance quads rd I don`t I want what i paid for plain and simple

busta, I'm feeling your pain, like I said, I've been waiting over two years for the fix. I also called Quad demanding a fix and was offered to buy a sender that may or may not work, or wait for them to fix the problem. I waited for the fix, you "bought a couple of others ones i was told might work $36 x2". Also I just shipped my Commander and my broken sender back to Quad, only cost me $5.31 DHL ground, not $10 just for one sender, did you over night it? SORRY, Maybe you live outside the US.

busta,
I fell your pain and I'm not trying to get on you, I've been bummed out myself with my fuel pressure guage. But real like the Commander. I couldn't get anything to compare with it for the money. All I want to say is I'll be happy if the fix works and I wish you good luck getting your problem solved and I mean that.

Well, my fp gauge crapped out after about 3k miles, I am like most have you, spent alot of time on the phone with quad waiting for a fix.

Now, I have an even bigger problem. I ordered my Commander from pmtdiesel.com. I no longer have the receipt, and I have to come up with that someway, if pmt has a record of it. But not only that, I had a diesel shop install my monitor, fp kit, and everything. So now I don't know how to take the commander off of my truck, let alone the fp kit. So I am going to have to pay the diesel shop again to take it off and AGAIN, to put it back on when I get it back from Quad. Just seems like alot of hassle and money, it sucks.

It's really a piece of cake. The fuel pressure sensor on the commander is 1/8" NPT thread. If you can find where they put the sensor, it will just unscrew and you can thread a 1/8" NPT plug into the port where it was. As far as the commander goes, just trace where the wires go off it and disconnect as needed. Never did a commander, but if it's as simple as my pulse was it will take maybe 10-15 minutes to pull it out.

If all else fails, read the directions for installing the commander. Should lead you in the right direction.
