Clunk After Leveling Kit?

I just had my ball joints replaced including tie rod ends. U joints are fine.

I had my truck in for service because of a clunking noise in the drivers side when turning left quickly.

I'm wondering if it could be the suspension. I had coil spacers installed a few months ago. So I'm wondering if something could maybe be loose on the drivers side? If so, what?

The guys at the shop had a hard time installing the coil spacers because I also have a Carli Starter suspension system.

This. Try tightening your track bar at the frame on the driver's side. Needs lots of torque.

I had the same "clunk" you described after switching out my stock trackbar for an adjustible one; was sure I had really tightened the bolts as well as I did after putting in a leveling kit last year. Finally got somebody to look under the truck as I slowly drove forward turning the steering wheel one way then another. He spotted the ever-so-slight shift in the track bar at the mounting point. I got under and was able to get another half turn out of the nut, and the noise has not come back. For the small amount the track bar shifted, it sure sounded like something much bigger was happening.

The holes in the track bar's frame bracket have been known to oblong. This kit from Source Automotive could be used as a fix.

I assume the tabs should be welded to either side of the existing bracket.

Had the same issue after mine. The hole was slightly wabbed out too. No 20k later it's back. I fear I'll have to go to the washer fix above. Keep it in mind down the road.

Glad to help. I had the same issue before and the same fix cured it.

Now the other guys are correct too in that if this continues to occur, you need to look at a potentially bad bolt where a new bolt held torque better (heard of this before and it's the cheapest fix other than tightening), or the hole becoming worn and allowing a shift of the track bar regardless of how tight the bolt is.
