would i be able to go to a junk yard and take the variable geometry turbo off a powerstroke and install it on my cummins if i could find the supposed turbo?

i think this would save me money and perform better than the stock turbo i currently have, is this train of thought correct? or will the powerstroke turbo be worse than my stocker?
