cat and muffler delete pipes

All,

I know this subject has been addressed many times within this forum, but I need to know before I order the above pipes.
(1) Will the tail pipe smoke like a sled pulling truck? I want more exhaust, but I don't want to attract too much attention from law enforcement.
(2) How loud will this make my truck? If it sounds like a dragster, this too will attract attention from the police.
My truck is exempt from emissions testing here in NC, but I obviously could get in much trouble with these changes.

Thanks for your responses!

I know on my truck I took the cat off about the 3rd day after I bought it and the muffler also. It sounded like a versatile tractor and was very loud. Not loud in the cab but if you where outside of the cab, or if you are driving and you go to pass someone up the person you pass is going to be very angry and might shoot a wierd looking bird at you. So what I did was put a high flo muffler on it and it quieted it down just enough to where it is perfect. I picked up the muffler befor I put it on and you can look straight through it. nothing in the way I guess since it is a little bigger diameter than the actual exhaust it helps with the noise level. The brand I went with was Flo-Pro and it is a 5 inch. from turbo back

Yes, I origionally just made the factory 4 inch exhaust straight and then not too long after that it worked itself loose in a couple of places so I just went ahead and replaced the whole exhaust with a new 5" from Flo-Pro. When I got the new ex. it came with extra pipe to put in place of the muff and cat. I just kept the muff to see if it made a diff. and it is perfect now. A buddy of mine used to sale diesel performance stuff and now he does not so Im not sure where to get it from now but i think I paid 400 for it. and that was aluminized not polished.
