Wow, who tore your motor down? That was nice and organized. I don't even recognize some of those pieces.

I'll definately use some of those pics. I'm gonna go to Commerce and try to video some too. Should have some good stuff for more videos in the next couple of weeks.

cool, be sure to stop by and say hi if you see my truck. I plan on running if I can get my truck tuned. Thanks to Bob W, Don M & Rip R so far in helping me get there ! Looks like us 3rd genners really need someone to write a good program to not fuel so much on the bottom and give it all it has up top.

Commerce is where I fried the piston

when my pyro gets about 1400 i let off doesnt matter what im doing. i had it buried when I pulled one time but only ran the tst on low settings. my truck is an 06.5 and I run the tst R37 ive been having some issues with it also. they gave me some new harnesses today to see if thats the issue. I hope it is. man that makes me sick seeing burnt pistons and stuff I hate that

It doesn't take 2000degrees to do that.....1500 and keep adding fuel and the pistons will burn if you don't blow it out with lots of boost...stock turbo.....awesome carnage. I don't think the TST was the fault...and even with it on 2/0 and a downloader... If you are measuring and controlling EGT's with air and water...they are ok...All those injection events can add up to a lot of combustion is you start adding duration and timing to each one. KS

they didn't tell me that directly either. It was a forward from someone they did tell. I called and asked Mark about it and he said that was correct.

He also said that it does work on some trucks and not on others, they weren't sure why. Mine and yours it seems to have worked on but, to be safe... I wanted to take it off and Mark suggested it too.

all I can say is be careful ! part of the problem is the TST adds timing "along" with the stock timing. It should replace the stock timing and do it itself. Both working together is more than the truck can take.

It was a combination of a few things I think. I ran the TST on 2/0 and several different smarty programs for 6 months before this happen. That's why I would agree the boxes weren't totally to blame. I believe #4 injector stuck open because of the combination of events, my foot and letting the EGT gauge bury.
I bet it was close to 2K in the cylinders !

it's 2/0 and higher. Something happens with the injection/timing event that they can't control. I hope they don't stop trying... I want my box back !!

well I appreciate that info. I saw your big rig at IRP at the diesel nationals but didnt know who to look for but knew it was your truck. If I put it back on the levels will stay low. I wish they would get it figured out also. I told them I need the tst to get the power I want. I know there are other boxes out there but this one really helps out. I have to find a daily driver before I can get to extreme
