Can '06 pinion factor be adjusted?
thats not how you want to do it, there is a menu in the comp for abs, in there will be a setting for revolutions of the tire per mile, works well for changing tire size- but not sure how well it would work on a gear change?
Ok, so you're sure that you can in fact compensate for changing tire size on the 06's? I lumped gear change in with my original question mainly because I assumed it would be the same process to account for that. I won't be doing that, but if my '06 doesn't sell then I would eventually put taller tires on it. I'm just wondering if what I heard was correct, that the 06's can't be adjusted for different size tires? I know the earlier ones can...
On my 06 when I put larger tires on it the pinion factor wasnt changed as was done a my 03-------you have to put in the tire size you have on the truck. I didnt believe the tech and he showed me the prompts and it asked for tire size.

Unless Dodge dramatically changed something, the '06s should be the same as the '05s for the speedo. It is all computer driven off the ABS tone ring and go by revs/mile. The only thing that can effect it is changing your tire size. Not gearing, not trans.
