A/C ? What is it?

Im new to the diesel world but when I run my AC then turn my truck off it make a noise (sound like a bark) is this normal?

Mine kinda does the same thing, but i try to make sure I turn everything off before i turn the truck off. Also, i notice a loud cluning noise sometimes when i change the direction of the **** (panel, floor, defrost) I think they are flaps that make a bunch of noise.

Would be nice to know about the barking to make sure everything good!

Hopefuly somebody knows what it is! If not im taking mine to the dealer and asking them what it is.

I'm sure it's fine. These engines have a lot of compression and that keeps things turning a tad longer than they should after shutdown. It's most likely just your belt slipping a little on the A/C compressor pulley.

You should hear an old 12V 1st gen shutdown!

there was a tsb a year or 2 back about the belt slipping on the alternator(IRCC) that installed a clutch on the pulley to stop the chirping.

It's torque chirp. It's normal. If your truck doesn't do it then you need some more mods..........
