A/C ? What is it?
Mine kinda does the same thing, but i try to make sure I turn everything off before i turn the truck off. Also, i notice a loud cluning noise sometimes when i change the direction of the **** (panel, floor, defrost) I think they are flaps that make a bunch of noise.
Would be nice to know about the barking to make sure everything good!

I'm sure it's fine. These engines have a lot of compression and that keeps things turning a tad longer than they should after shutdown. It's most likely just your belt slipping a little on the A/C compressor pulley.
You should hear an old 12V 1st gen shutdown!
