Bushwacker Flares
Hey Guys ,
I know this subject has been beat to death , I did not see much on how dose the bushwacker flare weather with out painting ?
I got a good deal on a set of Dick Cepek DC2 wheels but the back space was 4.5 so the wheels are pushed out a bit ... I like the feel of the wider track the truck has , not running a big tire ... Toyo 285 but the road crap is going to beat the carp out of the wheel wells and sides of the truck .
I have used bushwacker in the past and was not too impressed with the quality ... I just purchased a set of Xenon for a cummins powered suburban and the xenon great flare , they feel like a OEM flare , nice and solid and fit like factory .
I was looking at the Extend-a-flare ... anyone have these on there trucks , I have a 2005 with the cummins emblem in the front ... Does this need to be relocated ?
Thanks guys
greg

Got the Extend-a flare for a pretty good price , Amazon had them with free ship for 350 so that was not too bad .
My truck is blue and will look good with just black flares , I'll post a few pics once I get them on .
Thanks
greg

Update to the Bushwacker flares ... They came in and are p i ss thin plastic , at the very least they could have put a rolled edge to us double faced tape so the flare does not rub against the paint , instead they use a piece of retarded rubber ...How long would that last till your paint rubs off .
There a p i ss poor design and would never recommend using them to anyone ... I sent them right back .
I ordered a set of the Zenon flares ... They just came in and really nice and quality construction ... i would say these are the way to go .
I will post a pic once I get them all mounted up .
