Thumbs up

I like mine alot i always run mine in the performance, and i got 2-3 mpg better. If i was pulling over 5000# then i would put it on tow setting. The onlytime i put it on the extreme is when i went to the track, or if i was feeling like playing. As far as warranty either you have to be in good with the service dept. or take it off when you go in to get service work. Mine is still under warranty. I had the guy that always works on my truck see if it was traceable, he said he could not find anything. There is my two cents.

I have the Power Pup for my 2003 and I absolutely love it. I had the Edge Ez first, sold it for the Power Pup and I am glad that I did. Way more power, comes on stronger than the Ez and it produces smoke if I want it to

I gained about 1 additional MPG and I usually run it on the performance program. Tried the "extreme" for about a week but it was beginning to slip the stock clutch so I switched it back to performance. As far as I know, YES the programmer will void your warranty. Just about any fueling box/programmer will void the factory warranty unless you have a real good repair shop

Love my Triple Dog...very easy to change the settings whenever you want. I have a company truck so most of my driving is around town or long weekend trips but I still like to keep it on the Crazy Larry setting and I just stay off the throttle a little bit. Of course I lay into it every now and then because the straight piped exhaust sounds way to good. Mine is way past warranty period, but it is very simple to return to stock, of what I have heard...supposedly if someone at the service department really wanted to take the time to search the computer's records they can see something was done but I don't think it will show what, just what I have heard/read though.

I ran the pup for a while also and was extremely happy with it's performance. Then I stacked it with the RAMifier and it ran even better .

I got worried about what everyone was writing about it being traced so I got scared and removed both of them and put on a Quad race box. I could not get the Quad box to ever do anything but make my truck sputter, hesitate and basically run like crap. Not flaming Quad's products because I read some more and I for one believe that the program that is in the pup for the stock program is not the original programming that is on the ECM. Sold the Quad box to a buddy that has the same year truck as me and he has had over 25K miles of nothing but grins as he drives so that has to mean something. I don't know if it really matters if you have the "OEM" stock program or not. I still have the pup and RAMifier and fully intend to stack them again when the time is right.
Not to change the subject, but does anyone else run the Quad green intake? I bought one and actually notice a difference compared to the AFE.

Just an update on the issue you had that may be helpful.

We actually got our hands on one of the trucks that had an issue very similar to what you are talking about. He had a DL and returned it to stock and could not get our product to work properly. On the lower settings it worked ok, but the higher the setting the worse it acted. This what somewhat puzzling so we started data logging different parameters.

Here is what we found. This info is probably on accurate for older DL's and not the new ones, but I cannot be sure.

The DL on this particular truck did remap the rail pressure. This is all fine and dandy, but when he returned it to stock it did one of 2 things. It either put in some funky OEM flash or it did not remove all of the timing and fueling maps, including rail pressure. When data logging the rail pressure signal against a couple of other identical trucks, the rail signal was noticably different. This truck would still blow some black smoke while in neutral by stabbing the pedal. That is something an original OEM truck would not do.

So, we called our local dealer, we were totally honest with him and paid them $100 to do a complete reflash on the truck. After that it ran fine with our module.

Now I do not know the exact cause and I have only even heard of it on a couple of trucks (this guy drove over 8 hrs to bring it to us!). So far it has only happened with the original and older versions of this DL'r. This may have been fixed or not, or could be with a specific part# in the ECM?? That is the big question. I have actually not heard this in a long time.

I do have dealers that have installed the trial version of the DL's and then put a module on with no problems, and they have also installed the new 3 dog and removed it and put our module on and it worked fine, so evidentally it is an isolated issue.

I would noramally say it is possible to get a bad module or something, but if you buddy has it and it works properly then that is not the case??

The intake systems work well, I tell people that, but it is hard to get people to listen. There was supposed to be an "independant" although biased (for another brand) dyno test performed and I sent the intake months ago, but it seems to have dissappeared. I sure wished I could at least get it back.
