Where to mount guages

I like the ones that go in the dash pocket, but because I have electric shift transfer case and heated seats that isn't an option for me.
I want at least pyro and boost, and Scotty is working on something to mount two on the A pillar without loosing the grab handle... so that's what I'm waiting for.
There are also frog eye looking steering wheel covers, and dash pods, but IMHO they don't have the clean, factory like look I want.

I drilled out the cig lighter (non-smoker, and no one ever will in my truck...) and installed a Westech EGT/boost combo gauge. Taped into the dimmer switch for the light. It's a tight fit, but looks good and is non-obtrusive. Check out some of the older threads on this - got the idea from an earlier post.

The srt-10 pillar is about as factory looking as you'll get - since it's an OEM part It retains the grab handle and allows for one gauge - most use the westach EGT/Boost combo.
As Jeff in TD says, I agree - the flush mounted dash pocket install is a clean , great look. I probably would have done the same if I didn't have heated seats and an electronic transfer case.

bauer500,
Geno's website says that the console mount is "Designed for use with AutoMeter gauges. Must be modified by user for use with other gauge lines.".
How much modifying was needed to fit your DiPricol gauges? My initial thoughts are "none"...but I have to ask.
Thanks!!
Tim

It wasn't to bad at all, the Autometers have the mounting studs on the side and the Dipricols have them on the top and bottom. I just used the U-bracked that came with the mount and cut them in half and drilled new holes, turned out really well. It was alot easier then I thought it would be, theres a few other ways that you could make it work also. If I get some time I'll pull off the dash and take some pics I'm putting a new stereo in.....Mark

I have the heated seats and electronic transfer case as well. I just ordered the autometer in dash console from Genos and I also have the Srt-10 pillar as well. I trying to install FP,EGT, and boost so I'm going to probably try and relocate the transfer switch and the 2 heated seat switches. Hopefully I'll have pics after this weekend of the finished product. I also bought an extra dash panel in case I mess up the install.

I have considered relocating the 4X switch and heated seat switches myself. Let me know how this turns out!
Pictures of the process and final outcome would be very nice also!
