Question BugDeflector, Security Alarm ...

I will probably be ordering my new truck on Mon. Looking whether to cancel some of the options I selected. Factory Bug Deflector(Shield) doesn't wrap around on to the fenders...it will only protect the hood. Have seen after market deflectors that cover hood and fenders. Is anyone happy with the factory bug deflector/shield?
Originally selected the Security Group (Security alarm), since I always turned it off on my present vehicle this may not be a wise option. Does anyone know if it prevents a thief from starting the truck?
Aluminium or chrome clad wheels. Think I will go with the chrome.
Are mouldings a good think to get? Do you have to buy the entire Sports Appearance Group for these?
Thanks for any help you can provide...just want to check what other guys have learned since this truck is a huge investment.
Are you happy with the 2500 pulling a fiver (26')?

The Bug deflector is great, DC use to offer the other two eyebrow pieces on this web site:

The alarm system is good to have and yes it does stop people from starting the truck because of the security keys that have the chips in them. First thing you will want to do with this system is get yourself at least 1 maybe even 2 more keys made up because it requires 2 keys to program another key and if yo loose 1 and don't have at least 2 you can't program a replacement key
As far a the rest of the options that's up to you.
If you are pulling a 5VR you may want to check what the hitch weight is of it and the overall weight as loaded before gettinh the 2500. You may need to get a 3500 instead

Burban- I had a spare key made up at the place that installed my after market alarm. Dodge wanted $85, the alarm palce made me one for $30 + the price of the key. When I had it made up, it took less than one minute to program it, and they did it outside in the lot! ( I'm glad I got the after market alarm. I've had factory alarms which were fine, but I like that little "chirp"!)

this is a MYTH .I lost a key,and FOB setup

.while i was at the dealer , having a REMOTE start problem looked into. I figured that i would get a spare setup while i was there. i bought the key, and the ALARM guy progrmmed it for me with the truck his hands were moving to fast for me to tell what he was doing, he would put each key in the ignition, and do some stuff and next thing i knew the key was programmed .

as far as the FOB, he hooked a computer to my truck, clicked the buttons on the FOB, and it was done....total time 5 mins...service guy wanted a 1/2 hour labor for this proceedure, but the`re alarm guy did it for free

the reason they want BOTH of your keys is because they REprogram BOTH keys, in other words if i find my LOST key, it will not work, it will have to be REprogrammed as well
