My truck is stock for now. I'm thinking about getting some 90 hp injectors be
for the end of the month. I have a 05 6sd.
What would be your first choice box or injectors.

 

What do you use the truck for mainly? Do you tow?

I am thinkin about injectors too, I talked to DDP today and was told that with the 90s and factory turbo I MAY have to back off on big hills or maybe turn the box down. I guess if I am gonna take the injectors out I may as well put 90s in but I doubt I will be able to be without my truck for that long to get mine honed.

 

I do tow some. Camper and horse trailer. DDP is what I was looking at also. They have a real good deal til the end of the month. And the best part is their injectors are about half of what a box would cost for the same amount of hp.

Half of what a 90hp box costs? Where did you find injectors for $250? I've yet to see a set of good injectors for less than $900.

Rod, if you were asking me about the box the answer is yes. When I spoke to DDP today they said that any pressure box could crack an injector. My plan is to get a tst unless I find a heck of a deal on and edge juice and I will upgrade it to a hot juice. One thing to consider is that the injectors are on no matter what, with a box you can cut it on and off and I realy like the adjustability. The quad has been a good box but it just aint enough for me. Good luck and if there is anything else I can help with let me know.

Are you swapping the injectors yourself?

Anybody else got any tips on removing and installing new injectors? How bad could I screw up if I go through with this?

 

yes I would be swapping the injectors. Actually it isn't the whole injector your swapping but the nozzles. Still 300 bones for 90hp nozzles sound pretty good to me.

how much more smoke will these injector tips put out of i already have the edge juice with att? ill prolly keep it on #2 setting with the injectors but will i need anything else upgraded like clutch or turbo if i get the injector tips or not? thanks
