Hello everyone. I just bought a used Bully Dog Triple Dog for the truck. The guy had it for about a month and sold the truck. Everything is there and it looks to be in good shape. I am having gauges installed in a few weeks and will be playing with the programmer at that point.

Can someone tell me what I have to do with this programmer to get it to work on my truck? Is it as easy as downloading the software from the site onto my computer, plugging the downloader into the computer so that it can look for updates, and then plug it into my truck? Do I have to do anything regarding the VIN or possible zeroing out the programmer to start new? I'm a little hesitant to call Bully Dog as I was not the original purchaser. Thanks all.

It's a real simple process. Get your programmer and hook it to your computer using a USB cable to update the software. I think 2.4.0 is the newest version avaliable.

After the update is done, plug in your programmer cable to the ECM(under the dash next to the "hood" latch). It will automatically pop up and start the install process on your truck.

After the install is done. Have fun!

 

As long as the previous owner uninstalled it from his truck, should be easy, its at 2.4.1 the triple dog will automatically detect your VIN and marry up to your truck, just go through the menu after its loaded for all of your settings...
