boost gauge install on 04.5

i have been searching for like an hour now and can not find a good link to some instructions on where to hook up the boost gauge to the motor and if I need any adapters. Anyone know of a link I can look at, my gauge is and iispro and came with the tubing, i just may need a tee or something. thanks.

I got a manifold boost bolt when I bought my gauge....all you do is unscrew one of your intake bolts and screw in the new boost bolt...then plug in the hose...pretty easy install. PM me if you need to know where I got it from. (not sure if mentioning names is authorized here)

I don't see anything wrong with mentioning names. I got my boost bolt from Geno's when I got my gauge.

I guess the worst that can happen is that the name gets edited out, and by the way I got mine there as well...great people over there.

Gauge install

At the bottom of our gauge page http://www.dieselpowerproducts.com/gauges you will find pdf files for installing the gauges, including the boost.

I tied in to the headlight circuit...my new gauge dims with the rest of the dash lights.

does anyone know if the boost bolt is the same thing as what comes with just a gauge, i got an isspro one, the directions dont say what size it is... from other posts it looks like your supposed to drill and tap it, i can do it but it would look nicer if i dont have to drill and tap it, i like a clean engine compartment, not wires and what not all over the place

go here www.genosgarage.com/ , call them or look for the boost bolt for your truck. Like I said above it is very simple to do this, you just replace your current manifold bolt with the new boost bolt, route the new lines to the cab , tighten all the fittings. Finish up by finding a power source for the gauge lights then put everything back together.

Make sure you put a clamp on both ends of the hose. Mine keep blowing off until I put a clamp on it. Jack

Use the boost bolt man, but don't over tighten it or it will snap off. The torque on a manifold bolt is 18 ftlbs. but anything over 10 will snap that bolt. But it does work pretty darn slick.....
