downloaded recovery software and then loaded moderate tm #5 software on truck and now abs, parking brake and air bag lites won't turn off. what do i do?

 

have you tried to clear the codes? Probably a dumb question though.

Sounds like the ECM needs the VIN reprogramed. Should be some sort of code though.

 

should i run recovery program again?

 

I have absolutley 0 experience with the Smarty. ( need to rectify that situation too! LOL ) I would say it wouldn't hurt. Did you read the sticky at the top of the 3rd gen High Performance forum? Bob says that DC has put out a new flash that is giving some guys some trouble. Read that first! Other than that.........have to wait on Bob or Marco.

 

have you tried to drive it after recovery? in the early days of smarty, after changing sw, the abs light would remain on until the wheels actually turned and then go out. that at least covers that.

if you need to talk(phone with bob) google wagner and associates, there is a phone#, or google smartypower

 

drova around block one time , didn't fix it . sent pm to bob

 

at this time of night, i would wait until morning. bob is a very nice guy. lives about 1 hour from me, and is really willing to help.

probably.. ive had a simaler issue since july...

brakes work just fine.

 

CLEAR THE CODES and dont try another recovery. ABS code dont always appear on the display.
