Blow Off Valves???
Blow Off Valves???
I have an '06 2500, just curious if they make a BOV for these trucks? i have searched the web for a few days now and i can't find one for the '06.
Also just curious if this will make any noticable difference in performance with an automatic??

Diesels don't make vacuum, because there's no butterfly in the throttlebody that closes when you let off the go pedal. Therefore, there's no need for a BOV because all the charged air just ends up being used.
im still kinda learnin here, this is my first diesel truck. is there any way to get rid of the noise that i hear some times when i get on it hard then let off real quick?? it only happens sometimes.
You can search this site for BOV and find a number of threads on this.
BD Diesel Performance makes a blow off valve for turbo diesels. I have had one for good while now and it does eliminate almost all barking on the street.
It is expensive and a PITA install.
Here is link.
