Billet are laminated flex plate?
And yet I know of a pulling truck with about 800hp that still has a stock flexplate. MOST - not all - but most, of the flexplate problems are due to improper alignment. Dave Goerend has been saying that for two years.
cquestad:
No you are not a minority because I broke a stock flexplate too and mine looked just about like yours did! That was with the "stock" set-up/tranny too.
I was being a big smarty pants! ;-)
When I had an ATS Flexplate...I broke my OEM Intermediate Shaft.
When I have a Billet Intermediate Shaft...I broke an OEM Flexplate.
It could be a song...
But now...NOTHING IS GOING TO BREAK!

oh wait, that is Brett's song.. MY BAD, BRETT!!!
O.K., sorry about that buddy. But seriously, my stock flexplate looked just about like yours in that picture when it broke.
ive ran the laminated suncoast flexplate and have taken the cover off to check the bolts after triton had issues with his and posted it. mine does fine and I run my truck pretty hard also. I think any name brand flexplate should work. I think BD makes on now also. anything stronger than stock should work
