Big Tires (or slicks), Rear Brake Line Loc, +Propane=??????

Hey, I'm looking at getting some slicks or really wide tires, rear brake loc to get decent boost and adding propane. Should this combo get me in the 11's in the 1/4mi.? So far, my best et. has been 12.97@106.4mph on stock tires and a crappy 60ft of 2.11sec.

The tranny is being taken care of at the moment. Is there anything such as driveshaft or U-joint upgrades I would need at this level? Is any 3rd Gen 2wd even running this quick????

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Just so you know, line lock goes on the front.

Yeh, but they make a kit to use it for the rear. Got few in Summit. Only way I know how to build boost enough without smoking the rear tires. Stand on the brake with both feet at the line, flip the line lock on then build boost.

I know with camaros the line lock was used to lock out the rear tires, (installed backwards) turn it on with no brake pressure, then smash the brakes and gas to get the slicks good and hot.

youd probably need a bigger turbo to get to the 11's, adding propane is just like more fuel, youll need a turbo to burn it.

Surely that 62 turbo will do it??? no???

I thought line locks wouked in the transmission to LOCK the trans???? I dont know squat about drag racing other than with a set of slicks, Streets truck should be in the low 12's high 11's

You're thinking of a trans brake. That would be the lick if they had thoes for Dodge trannys.

I'd try it first w/o the line lock. Slicks should be able to hold 5psi of boost.
