Does anyone know if another company other than Outerwears makes a pre-filter for the BHAF? Now that I am needing my 5th one (for my 4th filter) I will say that I am not very impressed with them at all considering the cost. They tend to tear easily and lose their elasticity (like an old tube sock) in a short time frame. Any suggestions would be appreciated... also posting in the 2nd gen. section. Thanks in advance.

 

I'm with you. Mine looks like crap and I really don't want to waste money again on another one. There was a thread a while back where guys were saying they were using pantyhose to make a new cover. I'm thinking about trying that and maybe making it more than one layer...

 

That's not a bad idea... I wonder if layering it will help make it water resistant. Thanks for the reply I am going to try it-

 

Seems like you could just use pantyhose to keep the grasshoppers and cinderblocks out.
