Best programmer???
i like my edge juice alot and have it upgraded to the hot juice thing really puts down some power.
if you fill out your signature we can better decide on a programmer for your truck cause years differ a little.

Best programmer IMO would be the DiabloSport Predator. I have used the Edge Ez module, BD Power Pup stacked with a Dr. Performance module & now currently running the DiabloSport Predator/Puck stack & this combination is awesome.
Extremely smooth power throughout the entire RPM range, jet black smoke (if I want it) and all for an affordable cost. The Predator is a programmer that plugs into the OBD port under the dash, program what setting you want to run & unplug it....That's it.
The Puck is mounted in the engine compartment with an adjustable switch that you install in the cab. It has 3 settings (50HP, stock & 90HP).
Have not tried the Smarty, but several members on here say it is an awesome product as well.

Everyone says different things. They all work relatively well. What seems to be the most popular on here is the Bully Dog, Edge, Quadzilla, and the Smarty. The DiabloSport products get good reviews too but seems to be more people using the other...
I dont think you'll go wrong with any of them...does kind of depend on what year/type truck. I know the Bully Dog doesnt seem to perform as well on the 03 and early 04 trucks, I think?
I love my Triple Dog/Edge EZ/Boost Fooler stack...very easy installation and use with the Bully Dog. If you buy the Outlook, you can adjust on the fly without having to leave the programmer plugged into to your OBD port under the dash...

Can't answer about just the Puck.....Never ran it by itself before.
The programmer....set on 160HP.....I have never exceeded 1100 degrees.
The stack settings.......both turned up all the way......I've seen 1250 but the clutch started slipping...
when I got on it real hard, so I am sure that it would probably went a little higher.

I vote for the diablo predator/puck stack. I had a bully dog TD/ez stack and put down 374 hp, with the diablo stack it made 503 hp. The bdtd/ez wouldn't even slip the stock clutch with 190,000 kms on it. The diablo, first time I stepped on it the clutch had enough.
I usually only run the Predator programmer by itself (on the 160HP setting) & leave the 3-way switch for the Puck on the "stock" position because the 160HP is more than enough for me cruising around town. With the programmer on 160HP, my boost has never exceeded 25psi. Now if I turn on the Puck along with the 160HP setting then the boost does go higher (I think I have hit around 30psi).
No, the overhead is still off even with the Puck in the stock setting. My overhead will display around 22MPG while actually I am getting 20.1MPG (highway miles of course).
Smoke in the lower RPM's can be controlled by my right foot. If I get on it hard from a stop......then a black out occurs...
. If I ease into the throttle, then maybe a puff......and that's a very light puff of smoke. If I am cruising (say around 45mph in 5th gear) and nail it....then I get about a 2 second trail of smoke & it then clears right up. So I guess what I am saying is.....the more I "lug" it.....the more the coal will roll.
I have had absolutely no issues with the DiabloSport.....No surging issues (like I did with the Power Pup/Dr. Performance stack), no hard starts, no cruise control issues.....NOTHING. This stack is by far the best I have had on my truck. As stated before, the power is extremely smooth & lasts throughout the entire RPM range. The only issue I have had to date while using the DiabloSport combination is a slipping clutch...

Installation for any programmer is very simple. One of the nice things about the edge is that it can replace gauges. You will want to monitor at least Exhaust Temp and Boost. Tapping the the exhaust manifold for the EGT sensor is the most work involved with running any type of programmer.
I drove trucks with both the Smarty and Edge Juice today. Both were nice but the Smarty had more levels and options to increase horsepower . The truck felt twice as strong with the Smarty and made alot smoke. However the edge wasn't stacked with anything else so their was some of the power difference. It is also hard for dealers to detect smarty if the settings are back to stock. The biggest downfall of the Smarty is the lack of guages.
