Bedliners

First I would like to say that I am new to DTR and find this to be a great site for information. Hats off to who ever put this site up and maintains it. Next I have a simple question and want to go with the best option. What is the general opinion about bedliners out there? I have the plastic one that was there when I bought it from the dealer. I have looked into spray on liners but there are so many. What is everyones advice on the way to go to keep your bed protected? Thanks in advance for any help, Robert.

The drop in liners are only good for rusting out your bed. I'm in the same situation, looking to get rid of my drop-in and have one sprayed or do the DIY bed liner route.

You can search the site and read for a long time on everyone's opinion for which spray in is best. I vote Line-x, I have one and love it. I have a friend with Rhino and he had a lot of trouble getting it applied right (the place didn't prep good enough and it peeled and chiped) but once it all got straightened out he loves his. I think the general consensus is that whichever brand you go with - be sure that the proper prep work is done first or it will cause trouble.

Line-X in 3 of my last 4 trucks. Great liner, no complaints. Had Toff liner in 1 truck, never again.

I have a Vortex sprayed liner and I love it. Not as soft as the Rhino, stands up well to everything I have thrown at it (including a load of river rock dumped into the bed) with no degradation. Also guaranteed for life from peeling - they respray if there is a problem.

I have rhino... don't go that way. The line-x trucks that I see are good. If you want to save a buck, get a cheep-o DIY roll on liner, then throw that plastic liner over top of it. I had a truck like that, and I loved it.

I have Speedliner on my truck. Based out of Houston, Texas. They do work on military stuff as well. F-16s for sure I know.

Went to a shop this morning that seems pretty reputable, the rep there said they have Gatorhyde spray in liners. Any advice on that line? He also quoted me at $400 for the bed sprayed which goes over the rail.

Good price, but I know nothing of the product.

For all the Line-X guys - mine is a little Chaulky looking... anyone experiencing this? not bad, just not as shiny black as it was new - I heard a product called Just Once should take care of it, anyone use it? I have some on order.

Yes, that does seem very reasonable. I would want to know more about their warranty and how many other dealers there are within 100 miles or so.
