Autometer Phantom Trans gauge acting WEIRD
Autometer Phantom Trans gauge acting WEIRD
I just installed all of my analog gauges. I have a strange problem with my trans temp however.
It seems to work fine in park. However, in neutral, drive, reverse is starts pulsing really bad and reads at 240* or so even cold.
If I ground the body of the sender with a ground strap to the frame it pegs it fully to the right (250*)
Back to park and it seems to go back to normal. Occasionally I go to neutral and it stays around 160* till I rev it up and it starts acting erratic again. Any ideas what it could be or how to check/fix it?
Thanks!

Forgot to add
If I ground out the sensor part with a ground strap it goes to full sweep right (250* plus) as well.
So, ground the body of the sensor, or the sensor itself results in a maxed out gauge. Anybody have a clue what this might be?
