Autometer Dash Pod

Anybody have pics of your install of the Autometer 3-gauge Dash Pod? I'm thinking of getting one of these and just want to see some pics before I buy. How hard was it to install? Does it hinder visibility any? I don't want the pillar mount because I don't want to lose my handle.

Type in the search box- gauge mount help and you'll see a dash pod mount. I like mine also but you do have to drill a hole in your dash to run the wires thru. I did not though..... I have a dash cover which I cut/slit a whole to run the wires under to the side pillar and down under the dash.

So, mounting is only 2 screws to hold down the pod/cluster, which again I cut a slit for the brkt/screws.

After install, it's nice to only have to glance down to see my gauges without really taking my eyes off the road. I have 6 altogether- 2 bg-fp-(steering colm.) and egt/oil/trans (dash)

You don't have to loose the pillar handle if you go with the lazar smith mount, it mounts on your existing a-pillar and uses pods.

There is another thread about gauges going on right now, it has pics of the dash mount.

Not a great picture, but here is mine. Great visibility of the gauges in the dash pod.

I put mine on my '06 right after purchase. As said visibility is excellent, both of the gauges and of the road beyond.

I really like my dash pod, can't show you pics--don't know how-- I centered it over the little speaker grill and cut out the speaker grills with a die grinder. Ilike it much better than the pillar pods cause its not so "IN my face"

I love mine, check out my gallery pictures and you'll see. Install was pretty easy Diesel Manor has the entire kit and directions. Visability is great, just a slight glance down and you have all the view you need.
