I installed a BD on the driver's side frame of my 03 and it was very loud to the point of being very annoying. Definitely go with the Walbro, really quiet. Get with Gypsyman as he carries two great kits that will fit your truck.

What do you mean by very loud? Was it a constant sound that could be heard when your cruising at highway speeds?

I've heard some Mustangs with external fuel pumps hanging off the rear of the fuel tank, and you could hear the pumps from very far away. But I thought it sounded good.

Yes it was a constant sound I could hear it all the time from idle to 70 mph. I even purchase 3 cylindrical urethane isolation bushings to put between the pump and frame and it only helped slightly. I would definitely consider the Walbro as that is what I eventually installed. If you would like the pump that is used with the BD it is an electric Carter, PM me and I'll make you a deal on a NIB one.
