Internal Pressure Regulator Valve, increases internal pressure from 70psi to around 130-140psi, which shoves more fuel into plungers when they open.

I would like to get this kit. What are some rail pressure readings, cruising, idling etc......... Just worried about messing with my pump that has been good so far.

Put some anti-sieze on the three fca bolts that way they come out easy if you ever have to pull your fca.

Well i got the kit installed, overall pretty easy, took a about and hour, maybe a little more. I just went slow and did each step of the directions. I jacked up the back end of the truck in hopes to prevent the check ball from falling out, but that didnt work, it fell out but i was able to find it cause i put a big peice of carpet under the truck just for that reason. It went to easy, which is never the case. Going to take it for a ride here in a little bit after dinner to see how it goes. Thanks for everyones help and ideas.

Well i got a chance to take the truck for a good ride, i am impressed with the kit expecially for the price it is. The truck flat out hauls, there is a good deal more smoke, but that can be expected, clears up pretty well once boost is up, still a slight haze, but not bad. Rail pressure deff ramps up quicker and it higher then what i have been seeing. I think my rail gauge is a little wacked sometimes, cause i would be a ~16K psi and then step on it and it would go backwards instead of up, but the truck did not have any dead spots or anything of the sorts. I pulled in to a spot and shut the truck down and restarted it and made a couple more runs with and the rail pressure would jump right up to around 23K and not fall off at all. I dont know if having the rail guage wiring stacked on top of the pressure box screws with it or something, but its something electrical for sure, almost like interference of some sort. Its done this before cause sometimes i will come to a stop and it will be reading like 4Kpsi when it usually reads 6~7K psi at idle. Anyways, i am deff impressed with the kit, i think my truck now is near or close to what my 01 had for power. Now i just have to save up for a turbo and i should be good to go. Anyone on the fence about this kit, its deff worth it. Easy install and adds a good amount of power.

How much torque did you guys use to tighten the pump gear? That part of the instructions with the kit are messed up, I can't read them. I'm going to install it now, hopefully the torx bolts won't give me a hard time.

yes, put just a tad of grease on the ball to keep it on.. i didnt drop mine.. and before you even tackle it, clean the entire cp3 and everything around it... nothing can get into the cp3.. other than that, its a pretty easy job..

what ^^^^ he said. Take the spring off the old part and put it onto the new one. Use a tiny tiny dab of grease to hold the check ball on the end and then slide it back in. The check ball goes on the end of the spring, the spring does not hold the check ball in place, thats why if you park you truck with the nose facing downhill, you might be able to prevent the check ball from falling out and not even have to worry about it. If you take the part out and dont see a check ball, take a mirror and look inside the whole to make sure that the check ball is still inside the pump.

I believe the directions said 10ft lbs, there was no way i was getting any type of toruque wrench in there, so i just snugged them up by hand, just dont go crazy.

Got the kit installed, power is up over the rpm range over stock. Smoke is up a lot also depending on the programming being run but that's a good sign, now it's getting adequate fuel. I am going to install ddp 90's, so I hope the arson can handle it. Did get one instance of popping through the exhaust when I stepped on it, probably due to the rail draining, but I had been playing with the settings on the tnt. Overall it was money well spent, spooling faster and really throwing me back in the seat. Can't wait for them ddp's!

Other than the $50 price difference and the power difference between the two kits, how should one choose the Arson II over the Arson III, or vice versa?

I guess it all depends what your plans are, but for 50 bucks more i would go with the III kit. I asked the guy at Wicked when i bought mine and he said that the II kit will support mid 600Hp and they have seen the III support
700 or a little better. You can always get the II kit and if you ever decide you want the fourth piece, you can just purchase it later on for 50 bucks. Give them a call, they will answer your questions. I had a hard time getting through to some one, but once i did, they were helpful
