Anti-Defueler and the dyno...
So I'm running the BD Power race anti defueler now. Should it be turned on when the truck's on the dyno? She'll be spinning the rollers at Claremont next month and I've gotta get some good numbers or I'll be getting an 06!!
What say you???
What say you???
Whether you run with overdrive off or in overdrive (in preferred, top gear, locked), the operator will (should) wait until your converter is locked to begin the run. Once the converter locks, TM turns off, so the RAD shouldn't do anything for you.
Cool! So it shouldn't matter either way.
Masonic Dodge, I'm not sure where I'm at right now. The truck is stronger than the measly 341/714 I put down with the Quad/Va C3.2 stack but I honestly don't think it's 150hp more which is what I am told I should be making. (500+hp) I HOPE I'm at 475hp or higher after all this! Last dyno did not include the turbo, injectors, or TST/EZ.
I guess we'll see.........

Well, all I can say is good luck posting big #'s if it's an acceleration dyno. I posted a best of 490/990 a couple weeks ago on a Dynojet. Good #'s I know especially with a stock turbo. But the dyno showed only a 23hp gain from Edge lev.5/BDPP lev.2 to both maxed out on extreme. My boost was slow to max out at 40psi. and couldn't hold it. On the track though, I get .3 tenth's and 2.5mph in the 1/4 mile between the 2 settings, so I know I was over 500hp. I went to a local diesel shop that has a water brake load dyno and posted 533/987. Our trucks, especilly ones with bigger turbos need a good bit of load to post decent #'s on any dyno. Just make sure the opperator knows this and you shouldn't have any prob though.
I'm not sure which type of dyno it is but when I was just running the EZ box, way back when, I dynod at 299hp/554tq which was a little higher than most guys running the same combo.
The next time I dynod it was a different dyno and with the Quad Race/VA C3.2 stack I only made 341hp/714tq. Others with the same setup were seeing closer to 400hp/800+tq. All I know is that there was a huge difference in power between the two and it was definitely more than 42hp/160tq!! I'm really hoping the second one was off and I'll make some nice numbers on June 3 at the Claremont, Va get-together.....

I plan on hitting the rollers soon, so I hope to let everyone have a better idea about this stack(VA 3.2; Quad). I can say that the stock lift pump is very inadequate. I also don't think the injection pump can keep up. that is just theory though.
