Put in a new draw straw (with the correct length..my GDP AD150 Kit came with the rigid DS) ....lift the bed, or drop the tank and support it with jack stands where the mounting straps usually are...either of these approaches let the fuel tank flex where it does when mounted to the truck...so if you cut the draw straw then, you get the correct length and avoid the 1/4 tank issue...like i said above, i can get mine down to the empty line on the guage, and saying "low fuel" on the overhead, and the low fuel light on....and it doesnt starve the motor or cause issue (below 1/16th of a tank it will drop the fp to 0psi upon sharp breaking....but it then comes back up to 16psi when stopped....and the truck runs fine)

I am curious since i have the GDP vent kit and the Drawstraw is mounted lower...how much i can really put in my tank w/o leaking...gonna have to check that....just not when diesel is $4.65 a gallon.

one thing to remember is no matter what ALL 05+ TRUCKS WILL NEED TO DROP THEIR TANK OR LIFT THEIR BED FOR THE INSTALL OF ANY FUEL SYSTEM BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FACTORY INTANK PUMP.

Still not looking forward to this part though. I gotta take off the canopy before I can remove the bed, so I'll need lots of beer for all the people i get to help out.

the raptor pump only suck up what the engine needs so you would not need a new draw straw with a raptor100 and jeep canister...I think Christin is running a Raptor 150 and jeep canister on his truck..I dont think he moded it at all either just dropped the two in and go??
Does christian have any aftermarket goodies on his rig or is it stock? My plans include a Smarty, mild injectors (<100hp), upgraded turbo, and intercooler.

My raptor 100 kit came with a press on fitting that connects to your factory pick up tube. I'm going to replace it soon, but Charlie from pureflow says its been proven to support around 550 rwhp. So till then, imma run the factory pick up tube. Then upgrade when I get a chance.

nope... just the factory pick up tube on the tank that uses a dorman (i think is the name) fitting. You remove the factory feed line from it, and replace it with one provided with the raptor kit. It just pushes on, and is 1/2 from there to the pump then to my cp3 with 2 micron filtration.

So you're going to try to pull fuel through the factory pump?

yeah its pulling through the factory pump, until i get the time to intall a drawstraw. I asked Charlie from pureflow about this, and he says quite a few of his customers have ran the 2 in series with no problems. All in all Pauly, i'm just waiting for weather to cooperate a little and to get the time to install the drawstraw.

So you're already running it this way without any problems?

Depends on the type of draw straw you used, I wouldn't put a whole lotta faith in the ones using a grommet to seal things, I'll be using the one wit hthe bulkhead fittings when I modify my Liberty Canister.

So what exactly is the problem with the 1/4 issue? Is it because peopl are cutting the actual draw straw to short??? Also how come some are saying they can't fill the tank up all the way?

yeah Paul. no problems at all. I supply 27psi to the CP3 and it never drops below 24psi at wide open throttle. I was reluctant to do it, but was assured it does work. So I figured why not try it till i have some more time.

I talked to Richard at Glacier, and bought a 03 to 04.5 sending unit housing that my 03 would have came with. The raptor 100 will hook right to it, and no in tank fuel pump, then going to put my own fuel filters on down stream.
