i just got my o6 about a week ago and noticed that the turbo was way to quiet. so i took the silencer ring out and also i replaced the black baffled piece on the intake hose with a piece of pvc pipe. and you can still barely hear the turbo whistle. can u take the white baffles out of the bottom 90 degree elbow? what else can u do to make the turbo louder? i really dont wanna buy a cold air system right now. any suggestions? thank you!

 

Buy the cold-air. Sorry thats about it.

 

Im runnin an afe stage 2 on my 06 and that really brought my turbo to life. Its not ceap but is thu loudest out of all of them.

 

Leave the white directional vanes in, they direct the air flow in the 90* bend.

 

This reduced my EGT's by 100deg with stock filter.

wcjp, What is the name of that piece or (part# and which hardware store you got it from) that bolts on to the airbox. I've looked all over and can't find anything like you have on there. That is exactly what I have been looking for.

looks like a home depot gutter drain, I have the same drain next to my front porch.

Looks like flexible dryer vent stuff you buy at hardware stores, kinda sucks to have to lose a fog light though.
