Adding an Accessory

I have a 03/3500 and am thinking about adding a dropdown or popup DVD player to the truck. Which would you suggest and why? Choice #1 something that comes out of where the radio console is now that pops up and can be used to show moves while we travel with the Grand Kids. Choice #2 a roof mounted dropdown that shows movies. or is there a Choice #3 that i do not know about? I assume (yes I know what that does) that there is some kind of replacement for the radio area that has radio, cd. DVD, but know Idea where to get it, so if you have any answers, thanks for the help.

I like #2 then it can be mounted closer to back so the kids can see it
lot's of guys on here have the indash double din style...but the kids have to look around the two front seats to see.

I don't have either of these unit so take it for what it worth....

but this should bump to the top and get these guys talking about their stuff

i think the best bet is to get 2 tv mounted into the headrests...dvd players and screens are getting soo cheap now..i think this cause the kids have there own tv to watch and you could hide the dvd player under the seat or in the glove box so you dont even have to touch your radio....or you can get a flip out dvd for you and 2 tvs in the headrest for the kids...this way everyone can watch differnt things at once..all you gotta do when installin the dvd player up front is just to ground the little green wire to the truck and not the parking brake and walla!! movies while driving..if you prefer that

i agree with ocsurf16 i had the # 2 one that you stated put in my truck which sounded like a good idea at the time, ended up being a big prob with the kids one wanted to watch this the other wanted to watch that then you cant really adjust it so that both kids can see the screen so if i were you i would spend the extra cash and get the head rest tv's
