I hate to seem impolite, but it's getting to the point where it would be nice if you would do that yourself. There's nothing wrong with a little self-regulation and control.

"One of the first things I do when get a new snowmobile is synchronize the carbs and jet them down. A 2-stroke runs hotter when lean (opposite a 4-stroke) therefore produces more horsepower."

who agrees with this statement?

i dont. 2 stroke or 4 stroke, a gas engine WILL run hotter when run lean.

this was taken from joeservo's personal website.

not trying to flame you joeservo, but you attack others on their credibility and "putting their foot in their mouth" and then i see this.

Pat

disclaimer: I could be wrong.

snowmobiles always come jetted fat from the factory. jetting down a size or two on a stock motor is sledding 101.

i am not on this website claiming my sled makes 800hp either.

That is because they are jetted for sea level...the worse case. They will only foul a plug at elevation. Far better insurance policy that letting one get to lean and burn up. I have never ridden a two stroke with stock jetting...at any elevation. They are always rich.

Now...that is Obvious 101.

So far all testing with extrude honed injectors with the TST and pressure box combos have netted less power on the same settings. I would have to turn down the TST to get the same if not less power. The Flux injectors have some different technology in them that you cant obtain from honed ones. The power level Don is talking about is combined with other modified parts to be released at a later date..I hope to be at muncie but I'm not sure as to what combo of things will be finished and on by then. I didnt mean to flame you but there is alot to be had yet.

None of your biz. Honestly we are still testing on Johns truck. He is on his third set of Flux's trying to squeeze out every last drop.

They flow fuel like nothing out there It takes a bunch of fuel to make 600 plus HP.

I should have just referred to Joeservo's post:

"I can't show dyno sheets, it would give away too much"

Don,

I may have missed your answer in another thread but are you also ready with any other levels of EDM's or just the flux?

Nope just the sux, I mean flux!

Trying to dial in a single turbo stick now.

Did you dyno your rig on a DynoJet?

Nope, not yet. I'm at Kelderman right now having a full air suspension installed. I've pulled the TST for now and I'm looking in other directions for hp. I'll pull my name from Rip's list and let the TST boys have some fun.

I'll be keeping my ears open for some 80/100 hp sticks down the road. Good luck with the release of the Flux models. Should be an interesting year...

What power level are you/Don referring to? I am under the impression that with twins, tst, and Don's flux series you are at 600hp. Is this not true? If not can you offer some hints to the other modifed parts? Are we talking stacking boxes or motor/head work etc.?

Thanks

digger

The power level I'm talking about is the 700 to 800 hp range on #2 only. 650 hp with twins a TST and a pressure box with the proper Flux injectors can be obtained. As to the other modified parts, that is in development and hush, hush.
