Check out shopdiesel.com.

Thing could have changed or I could very well be wrong, but from what I have seen the FBD (and a lot of other budget exhaust including the shopdiesel one) are made by expandit inc. Its like a lot of the stuff we buy, one company makes it and a lot of others put there name on it.

Either way shopdiesel used to have the 5" straight pipe for 290-310 shipped. Cant remember exact cost but it was no more than 310. However prices may have risin.

I got the 5" expandit kit from him with the muffler delete for 290 to my door. Sounds great. Mine came damaged and I kind of got the runaround from him about making good on it. I got tired of waiting and straightened out the dented up pipe myself. I also went and got 4" band clamps from the local freightliner parts house instead of using the u-bolts. They were only like seven bucks each.

I would recommend the kit, not so sure about FBD.

Couldn't be happier. The MBRP has a "reversible" muffler -- you can turn it so that the exhaust flows over the louvers inside the muffler (basically a straight pipe) or you can turn it so that the exhaust flows into the louvers muffling it more. I have mine turned so that the exhaust goes into the louvers and the sound is perfect to me. Not as loud as straight pipe, doesn't have the hissing/raspy sound of 4", and it's really deep. It can get loud under some load but not bad. I'd rate it an A+......

my buddy had expandit he got thru tst on his 01 and the exhaust looked great after like 3 years on the truck I really impressed. the truck was daily driven also the pipe just staying looking good and it was aluminized. ive personally installed expandit, mbrp, magnaflow and dps and they are all good exhaust systems. the worst fitting system ive bought was thru ETR off ebay it was junk

I'm also pretty picky about certain things on my truck and one thing I don't care for is an exhaust that comes nearly straight out the side. I like them to have more of an angle towards the rear of the truck similar to the stock exhaust and it seems that the MBRP systems angle more than some of the other systems out there. That's one of the reasons I went with it.

I know, I know..... you can't get much pickier than that.

I just installed a 5" turbo-back system today that my local muffler shop sells. I'm 99% positive its an Expandit kit of some sort. Cost me $565 installed so i was pretty happy with that. But it was aluminized pipe and a generic free flowing muffler w/ no tip....everything fit up good. I did trim about 4 inches off the tail-pipe section because it stuck out pretty far from under the bed (could see it in the passenger mirror).

Anyways, it sounds great....

Then it sounds like the MBRP would fit the bill. They angle out the same as the stock exhaust and have a great tone......
