4,2 common rail 6 cilinder
http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...EOIBSA:NL:1123
A friend bought 2 of these units for his 4,2 L 6 cilinder cummins ( VM Italian )engines ,these are common rail turbodiesels 4,2 Litre ,and 2 valves per cilinder, marine engines for his boat .
The units seem to have a plug that connects to the rail press sensor ,and not to the injectors and timing sensor ,so I guess its a ,, pressure box '' only
Does he have to worry about destroying the injectors or blowing the end cap off the rail ?
We don,t know anybody that have done this before ,and are curious if there is any input from you guys here .
Also the power claim seems huge to me ,but I remember the pressure boxes for a CTD dodge claim 100 hp too ?
Any imput is greatly apriciate .
Thx A.J

Looks like a simple pressure box.
Not knowing the 4.2L but getting 70+hp by increasing the rail pressure seems pretty high on this size of engine.
Plenty of injectors has been killed on the Cummins CR engines, including injectors running at stock pressure. Running them at a 100hp kills them much quicker.
