27$ Intake Horn
Thanks Mark! I put a lot of time and effort into smoothing out all the welds, especially the bungs I made up for the water injection.
I am now in the preliminary stages of operation Hydraulic Ram for my next project. I scored a Chelsea PTO that has the same bolt pattern as the cover on my NV5600. I am not sure if the gear that mates up is the same or not but that can be changed easily. I also have a freshly rebuilt hydro pump off a Autocar trash truck. I want to put a hydro winch on the front of my Road Armor bumper when I get it and run a set of wet lines to the back of the truck. That way I can run a log splitter, dump trailer or a big ol' pair of shears for haulin scrap. The pump will have more than enough flow for whatever I will hook to it. The best part so far..... 40$ for the bearing kit in the PTO... thats it.
Oh, I also have a 10gal. aluminum hydro tank I had to weld a crack in.

Looking at those pics I see I really need to get after that valve cover. It looks horrible
Saturday project, maybe I will run the valves again for the heck of it too.

thats the most ballin shiz eva!
Close..... its actually from a industrial application of a common rail. I started a thread a while ago about it. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...+cover+project
I dont know where the pics went to but its different than a VP44. I just got the whole set-up for Lmills and we can see what color he goes with. Maybe he will match it up with the purple twins piping.

As a matter of fact I just got it back today
Its a shade off in color compared to the valve cover but its not all that bad. It was even done at the same place.
I drove around all week with the stock horn and I cant believe how much of a difference it makes under the curve. Below 10PSI its a lot peppier. Plus it seems to hold boost a little longer between shifts, it doesnt drop off so quick. All in all I am happy. it cost me 20$ to have it coated, I didnt do the inside because I was afraid some might flake off. I know powder coating isnt supposed to flake but I didnt want to chance it. I should rename it 47$ intake horn.

My homemade 3 1/2" airhorn is in my avatar. It was my 3 1/2" downpipe before it became an airhorn. The 3 1/2" pipe was the perfect size (11" circumference) to match the rectangular hole, after some heating and reshaping. Craig
