Here are some pics of my latest BOMBs on the new rig. I removed the deflector in the lower elbow on the intake tube and replaced the plastic tube with a piece of 5.5 aluminum tubing and painted to match. The exhaust I cut it off were it humps over the axle and installed a 6'in tip. It was straight piped but the drone was too bad, so I installed a 10'in Donaldson resonator. The drone is gone but the deep throaty sound is still there! It sounds awesome!

I only re-used the the upper & lower elbows. I replaced the plastic tube with a piece of 5.5 aluminum pipe. I gutted the lower elbow. It really whistle's, even with the stock air box.

 

Looks great, by removing the little white air directors, did it make your turbo whistle any louder? have just gutted the baffles, but i left the little white thing in the lower arm.

 

seems like that exhaust is going to coat the whole back end with soot and stink??? don't you think??

where did you get the 10" don at???

 

I didn't notice any difference in turbo whistle. I removed the air directors because they looked restrictive and had really no use.

I've been running the same set-up on my 2nd gen that smokes pretty good and I have seen no soot coating or anything on the underside. Here is the Donaldson resonator that I'm using: M090362. Just take the # the any place that sells Donaldson and they can order one for ya, or online.

I just put on the airaid intake tube and have noticed a little drop in mpg's anyone else notice this?
