There are a lot of posts that recommend against the 2" leveling spacer kits. I had DayStar 2" leveling spacers put on day one. If I had the money I would probably have gone with a true spring, shock, bumper and drop block kit.

That said I had the DayStar 2" spacers on for around 55,000 miles with BFG 315s over a two and a half year time frame. Only had one dw issue the entire time and it was not related to the spacers at all, just my stupidity. Never had any other alignment, frontend or tire problems.

I decided to switch to stock height and 285s when it was time for tires. I expected to see the spacers showing age and wear. But when they were removed they looked exactly like they did when new. I really had no problems with the spacers, no noises, no popping or any problems. Having a good alignment, balance and rotate tires regularly is all that I did.

PT Garcia gave you plenty of reading to do....

you first need to determine the primary need for the increased front height - astesics of function.

If it's for looks only spacers are OK ( stay away from urethane on the diesel trucks, it was not designed to handle forces the load of the cummins can create) Revtek is a very cost effective spacer easily installed with basic hand tools in your garge in under an hour.

If it's function you're after and you only want a "leveling kit" I would contact Carli, Thuren, Lorenz, or KORE. Any of said companies products will out-perform a spacer any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Give some thought to a new adjustable trac bar to maintain / correct your thrust-line alignment & cross caster settings. Good luck.

I've run 2" spacers from Hell Bent Steel on two of my trucks and never had any issues. I would definately buy again. My brother also runs a set on his. He is very hard on his truck and hasn't had any issues either.

I've got a set of HellBentSteel spacers I had in my truck. I liked them, but I'm moving to a 4.5" lift soon. I'll have the spacers and my Bilstein 5100s for sale soon....
