I have had my Smarty two weeks after I got my 07 3500 4x4. I have now 8500 miles on the truck and decided to start experimenting with Smarty. I went to MADS Electronics web site and down loaded the newest software for the 03-07 4.06 ....208 version( came with the 4.05). When I connected it to the truck to try the down load I got a message to upgrade to the 07 software. I have been searching on DTR with no solution as of yet. So to cut to the chase Im posting my problem in hopes that someone can has gone through this and can offer a solution. thanks in advace.s.g

Make sure you downloaded the correct version. There isnt a version that does 03-07. The Smarty can only be downloaded with software for 03-06 or 04-07. Go back to the website and double check the version. There are two 4.06 2.08 versions. One for 03, 04, 05, 06 and another for 04, 05, 06, 07. Hope that helps.

ok im getting my smarty thats waiting for me at home when i return from out of town....its the 03-07 smarty i believe....whats the difference if you have an 06 like me? which programs do i download and why are they different if you have a model year thats list for both types?

Since you have an 06 you can download either version. The software version are for either 03-06 or 04-07. There is know differance between the two. My best guess is that there is to much data for the smarty to store all the files for 03-07. Just a guess though.
