Hey guys. Looking to start a little build on my 2005 cummins 3500 dually. Right now im sitting all stock with the motor and have a straight 4in exhaust 5 in tip. Looking to see what you guys have foind or heard from experience on aftermarket parts for this year. I reallg dont want to have to touch the turbo or tranny for now.

Whats the besf way to go at this?

Start with an intake system along with the manifold and a programmer? If so what had been working for the 05 series.

Id like to se power gains and be able to smoke her at times but keep it a very usable every day vehical.

These engines need to breathe, so put a cold air intake on it, there's only a gozillion of them out there, so you'll have to research which one may suit you best. You may also consider an air intake manifold, the stock ones are restrictive, so finding an aftermarket one that suits you may be of some benefit. A programmer may serve your needs as well, there many to choose from, you may check out the search on this forum and see the many threads that address this subject of programmers for recommendations. JMHO
