Warranty Question

OK, here's the story:

I maintain that the warranty on the DPF is 5yrs/50,000 miles unless registered in CA (I believe that's what the book says).

I went to a dealership today and got two different opinions:

Service tech says warranty is 5 yrs/100,000 miles

Service writer says warranty is 3 yrs/36,000 miles (she was positively certain!)

Methinks nobody knows what they're talking about. Any idea who's right??

Its definitely not 3/36.

It should follow the 5/50 warranty.

Tell the service writer to do some more homework.

It is very simple these days. You enter the labor op into the computor and it will say whether or not it is covered and by what warranty(engine, emmisions etc)

You know, I wonder if some dealers "overlook" the warranty and provide repairs anyway even when the mileage is over the limit. Case in point: when I was at the dealership I was chatting with another customer who had a truck similar to mine. He told me that he had his DPF replaced at about 62k miles and they charged him something like $200. He told me the reason for the charge but I can't remember exactly what he said. This is what got me interested in the first place and why I questioned other employees at this dealership trying to get a straight answer. That being said, I appreciate your responses to this thread. BTW, my emissions warranty expired 200 miles ago (at 50,000 miles, like the book says )....
