Visteon to Sanden A/C Compressor Upgrade?

Anyone change the '06-up Visteon A/C compressor to a Sanden compressor used in the '05-earlier models? It seems like the Sanden is a better compressor and holds up better. Having bad luck with dealer supplied compressors, about to swap in a rebuilt compressor from a local guy we deal with.

Original compressor was leaking out the front seal. Replaced at ~120k miles with a compressor from the dealer. That one lasted about 1000 miles, the front seal took a dump. The parts guy said that was a common problem with that revision and I got the next revision. That one worked great for about 12k miles and it started leaking oil between the two halves.

Sanden's are being used for engine driven air compressors; I know since I have one on my '08.

I'd say go ahead and do it.

Did a replacement with the Sanden unit once and had good luck. Kept that truck for two years after and no failures. Watch alignment as it is critical--good straight edge tells the tale.
