if im at a stand stillin in drive and i put her in neutral she makes this weird whining hydrolic sound for 2 seconds,and when i put it back in drive it will do it again. doesent do it in reverse, and truck shifts fine.neutral to drive, and drive to neutral, and when you put it in park.any idea's fella's

Ghost in the machine probably man. I wouldn't sweat it. If it drives good--------highball!

 

Mine did that today. It sat all weekend ,then when I cranked it this morning I thought I had a belt slipping. This might be a completely different problem but after crawling under the truck, it seemed to be coming from the trans. I got to work & it wasn`t doing it anymore. I pulled the pan & it has some metal on the magnet. I cleaned it up, changed the filter & fluid & it shifts better now than before. Where does your sound come from? Good luck.
