Smarty Jr - NO MODS
O.K. folks,
After reading various topics on this and other forums, I'm thinking of buying a Smarty Jr, but have a couple of question. Just purchased a 07 3500 6.7L with only 47k on it and would like to keep the warranty valid for awhile. Don't plan on doing any mods right now.
Qusetion #1. If I use the Smarty just on econ settings will this void the warranty?
Question #2. Can the Smarty Jr improve MPG if I don't disconnect/Delete the EGR?

#1 - it can get you into warranty trouble. Some and well most dealers have zero uploader tollerance for warranty.
#2 - The Jr can improve MPG in the Stock mode (no deletes) as it disables the EGR anyway so there is no need to unplug it. Probably about a 0.5 to 1.0 mpg increase is what I saw.
